Is your tinnitus suddenly unbearable?

In the early stage, or acute phase of tinnitus, when tinnitus symptoms first strike, your life is turned upside down.

Sleeping can be difficult as the noise of the tinnitus disturbs the usual peace of the night. Concentrating at work seems impossible as the tinnitus sounds distract your focus and prevent you from being productive. The worry of what might be happening can spoil time with friends and family as you fret about the future and whether you will ever enjoy peace and quiet again.

There is no shortage of information on the internet, in magazines or books, and friends and family offer their thoughts and ideas too on how to help you cope with this life changing noise in your head. At The Tinnitus Clinic, we have treated hundreds of severely affected people who with our help, have a much better quality of life.

Taking action in the acute, first four months of your tinnitus, can reduce the emotional and psychological hold which the tinnitus has on you.
