My GP told me nothing can be done

  January 12, 2016

“Is it true I have to live with this noise for the rest of my life?” This is just one of the disheartening statements that we at The Tinnitus Clinic hear regularly from distressed patients. Recognising that GPs might need more support in managing their first contact with tinnitus patients, The Tinnitus Clinic has published the “Tinnitus First Appointment Guide for General Practitioners”.

This Guide has been well received by the primary healthcare community and is gaining interest from health publications too. In a guest blog post written for Restored Hearing, The Tinnitus Clinic discusses the free GP guide and how it will help dispel the myth that nothing can be done.

An important part of my mission at The Tinnitus Clinic is to share our knowledge of tinnitus;  its causes, how to prevent it and what to do if you are suffering from the condition. This blog will go some way in achieving this aim.
