“People experiencing one sided tinnitus, who have other health issues, or who have ear wax which needs removing, would all benefit from having a joint ENT and Audiologist consultation.”The joint appointments will mean less delay for patients as the ENT and audiology consultations are available in one facility Mr Wells continued:
“Mr. Loughran brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the Tinnitus Clinic in Manchester. For more complex ontological cases we will now have a direct-referral pathway to our ENT consultant. This will not only provide additional support and reassurance for patients but also ensure that the very best advice regarding the diagnosis and treatment of tinnitus can be provided in a timely and efficient manner.”Amongst other achievements, Mr Loughran is a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England with a special interest in tinnitus. He is also a recipient of the gold medal for the final intercollegiate speciality exam in ENT, an award handed to the highest ranked candidate.
An important part of my mission at The Tinnitus Clinic is to share our knowledge of tinnitus; its causes, how to prevent it and what to do if you are suffering from the condition. This blog will go some way in achieving this aim.
