A recent survey paper authored by audiologists from The Alaska Hearing and Tinnitus Centre has revealed that the Lenire therapy system can provide additional benefits for hearing aid users who are seeking to reduce the severity of their tinnitus symptoms.
A population of 214 patients were treated with the Lenore system with 88 of participants being pre-existing hearing aid users. Patients were advised to use the Lenire system for two 30-minute sessions per day. A review appointment occurred 10–14 weeks post device fitting. During this appointment, patients were asked “Do you find Lenire beneficial to your tinnitus journey?” to which they answered “Yes” or “No”.
Of the 214 patients who returned for assessment, 92% of hearing aid users and 86% of non-hearing aid users reported that they found Lenire to be beneficial.
This high “Yes” response rate was observed in both groups, regardless of whether a patient was currently using hearing aids.
This survey provides additional evidence to support the use of the Lenire system with hearing aid users ,affected by bothersome tinnitus, as an augmenting therapeutic option for care.
