Mark Williams, Chief Audiologist at The Tinnitus Clinic, will deliver the keynote address on the first day of the International Hearing Aid Conference and Expo on Audiology and Hearing Devices on August 17th and 18th in Birmingham, UK.
The address will explore how the investigation of tinnitus neural correlates within mammals has enabled the development of novel therapeutic approaches that strive to reduce or reverse pathological central changes in humans afflicted with bothersome auditory hallucinations. This talk will also provide a review of the pathophysiology of subjective tinnitus and evolving therapeutic intervention options.
“I am thrilled to be able to be part of this exciting conference. People with hearing loss deserve the very best technology to assist them in participating in life, without any barriers to inclusion. This conference and Expo will go some way towards informing professionals about new and emerging technologies”
