ENT Consultant appointment

The Tinnitus Clinic is proud to be associated with leading Ear Nose and Throat Consultants across the UK. Our consultants all have a special interest in tinnitus, hyperacusis and hearing loss.

ENT Consultant and a Senior Audiologist appointment

A 60-minute appointment, during which you will see both the consultant and the audiologist.

This is the best option for anyone who has a complex medical history, or where there is an underlying problem which may require the opinion of a senior medical specialist before we go on to treat the tinnitus, hyperacusis or hearing loss.

The consultant will review your relevant medical history and the audiologist will perform the required diagnostic tests.

These tests are designed to diagnose your tinnitus type, investigate the pitch and loudness of the tinnitus signal and identify any associated hearing loss that may be exacerbating the impact of your condition. For most patients, the range of tests we do as standard is all that is necessary but your consultant will advise if further tests are required such as an MRI scan.

Available treatment options and likely prognosis will be fully explained to you.
