Mark Williams is The Tinnitus Clinic’s lead audiological clinician and specialises in the management and treatment of tinnitus and sound sensitivity disorders. Mark has a special interest in the psychoacoustic measurement of tinnitus as a means of improving the efficacy of sound based therapies. He has been responsible for undertaking observational studies evaluating the efficacy of new tinnitus treatments and has also contributed to the validation of new tinnitus pitch measurement techniques.
Mark has authored a number of academic articles for scientific and clinical journals and regularly delivers peer reviewed research talks at National and International Tinnitus and Audiology conferences.
An established Consultant with over 30 years clinical experience, Mr Fairley qualified from St Thomas’s Hospital in 1981. Following Higher Specialist Training at the Royal National Throat, Nose & Ear Hospital London and the Sheffield Childrens Hospital, he was appointed ENT Consultant in Kent in 1993.
In 1996 he was awarded a Master of Surgery degree from the University of London for research into nasal and sinus surgery.
His patients and colleagues have given overwhelmingly positive feedback on the independent iWantGreatCare website and in 360 degree appraisal.
He has contributed at National and International level to audit and education in ENT.
