Hearing Link fundraising dinner

  June 28, 2012

The Tinnitus Clinic was very pleased to sponsor and attend the Hearing Link fundraising dinner at St James’s Palace, London on 22 May 2012.

Hearing Link is a national charity that aims to achieve the best quality of life for adults affected by hearing loss. The organisation offers highly personalised, emotional and practical support for people with acquired hearing loss, connecting them with specialist services and creating social opportunities in the community.

The black-tie dinner was an opportunity for our Principal Scientific Audiologist Mark Williams to meet representatives from Hearing Link, as well as a number of their beneficiaries and Patrons, including Her Royal Highness The Princess Royal. As tinnitus is often associated with hearing loss, many of the people Hearing Link help also need advice on how to manage and treat their tinnitus. As Mark Williams explained “these events are always useful to exchange information on the latest research findings and evidenced based treatment programmes that can progressively and sustainably reduce tinnitus severity”.
