Vacancy: Practice Manager and Senior Clinical Audiologist The Tinnitus Clinic, London Harley Street

Rare opportunity to join the UK’s leading expert provider of the latest evidence-based treatments for tinnitus, hyperacusis and hearing loss.

Established in 2011, The Tinnitus Clinic is expanding its popular Harley Street clinic to cope with demand.

We are looking for an experienced audiologist, with some interest or experience in tinnitus treatment who can also lead in managing the clinical administration of the business. For the right candidate this is a unique opportunity to be part of the future development of the business, while still having clinical excellence as the mainstay of the role.

Required capabilities:

  • BSc Audiology or MSc Audiology and competency certificate or commensurate qualifications
  • Eligible to register with the HCPC as a Hearing Aid Dispenser
  • Evidence of an ability to interpret and explain contemporary tinnitus research to lay and professional audiences
  • To evidence a genuine interest in tinnitus and adult rehabilitative audiology
  • Practicing Audiologist / Dispenser (minimum 3 years)
  • Experience of fitting digital hearing aids with REMs
  • Fluent English speaker
  • Numerate

  • Desirable capabilities:

  • Experience of working in a private audiology clinic
  • Experience of organising the running of a clinic
  • Experience of delivering tinnitus habituation therapies
  • Experience of line managing staff
  • Counselling skills certificate or equivalent / higher
  • Ability to speak an additional language

    The Tinnitus Clinic uses the latest evidence-based technologies alongside supporting therapies in a range of our own pathways. The successful candidate will need to demonstrate technical ability, perhaps gained in fitting and repairing technologically advanced hearing aids, as well as the softer skills required to support anxious patients with tinnitus.

    While it isn’t necessary for you to have clinical experience in treating and managing tinnitus, you must be able to demonstrate interest in this challenging condition.

    Above all, we are looking for a solution-focused, team member who, as a sales-orientated audiologist, is able to successfully balance the first essential of clinical need against the business need.
